Giving Back
RB Engineering and its employees strongly believe in giving back to the local community. We have not only donated our services to local projects but also offer scholarships to future young engineering students. Since 2001, RB Engineering has sponsored an annual engineering scholarship for the local area high school graduating seniors. RB Engineering also sponsors numerous local sports teams, booster clubs and fundraising events in our local community.
Boys and Girls Club of Chehalis
RB Engineering was the project manager and design engineer for the new Boys & Girls Club of Chehalis site design and 7,200 two story building development. RB Engineering completed the NEPA and SEPA environmental review permits along with the project entitlements. We donated all the design, permit and construction services toward this great community project. RB Engineering’s partner consultants also donated their services. Those generous consultants include, Exodus Engineering, Foresight Surveying and Insight Geologic. This new facility will enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring responsible citizens. Gail & Carolyn Shaw Aquatic Center
As part of the design team to replace the 50 year old outdoor pool, RB Engineering provided the site design, permitting and construction management for the site improvements. RB Engineering donated over half of their consulting fees to this great city asset that included outdoor slides, splash pool and swimming area along with new updated changing rooms and life guard area. This facility provides a place for our young kids to learn how to swim in a safe and clean environment.
Vernetta Smith Chehalis Timberland Library
RB Engineering’s first community project included the development of the Vernetta Smith Chehalis Timberland Library. Witnessing the generosity of the local community that raised over one million dollars, inspired Robert and Cherene to donate all the civil engineering design, permitting and construction services for this great asset to the community. This beautiful library is the focal point of the downtown area and includes a drive through pickup and drop off lane.
Discover! Children's Museum
RB Engineering’s latest community project includes the proposed new Discover! Children’s Museum. RB Engineering is providing the site design, permitting, public bidding and construction management for the new facility located along Louisiana Avenue in Chehalis. RB Engineering has donated half of their design consulting fee for this community project.
